NOW:
Castle Street Cirencester in 2010 This photograph is taken from the Market Place looking into Castle Street. The buildings are all the same except that the HSBC bank on the left has been built since the old photo was taken. The shops in the buildings are different. Jefferies the florists is now a Vodafone shop and Hyde and Sons is Edinburgh Woollen Mill. One now and then difference is the people are wearing different clothes. The transport has changed - cars instead of horses and carts. The now photo has cars parked in the Market Place and traffic lights that had not been invented when the Victorian photo was taken.
