The Great Central Railway was completed in 1899 and here the stationmaster and his family can be seen outside their new home near to the station building. The line was closed in the 1960s and is now largely dismantled.

The address given for this photograph to be posted to was 19 Medburn Street, St Pancras, London. This was a grocers shop belonging to Peter Willard. It is possible this portrait shows him seated in the middle of the front row with his staff.

The Drawing Room at Foots Cray Place in Bexley. It was built in circa 1756 and burnt down in 1950. The furnishings seen here are typical of the late 19th century.
