Add to My Favourites Reproduced by permission of English Heritage.NMR Stationmaster for Great Central Railway, Charwelton, Northamptonshire The Great Central Railway was completed in 1899 and here the stationmaster and his family can be seen outside their new home near to the station building. The line was closed in the 1960s and is now largely dismantled.

This was a grocers shop belonging to Peter Willard. It is possible this portrait shows him seated in the middle of the front row with his staff. They all appear to be well dresssed in typical late Victorian clothing.
