This Fisherman's Hospital was built in 1702 by The Corporation of Great Yarmouth. It was an almshouse for 'decayed fisherman'. It provided a home for 20 poor fishermen and their wives. To stay there they had to be over 60 and no longer able to provide for themselves. Read official list description.
